Mrs. Lucille Glass Rountree, age 92 of Wilkesboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2024. at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randall Millsaps and Rev. Arvil Perry officiating. 

Lucille was born September 4, 1931, in Wilkes County to Felix and Alma Milam Glass.  She was a member of Cricket Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Staley Wade Rountree, a son; Robert “Bunky” Rountree and a sister; Christine Rhodes. 

She is survived by a son; Steven Rountree and wife Tammy of Wilkesboro, and a sister; Ella Jean McNeil of Millers Creek and many nieces and nephews.
